Zarino's Willow Copper Earrings
Some pieces are easy to forget you’re wearing, until the light catches them and brings them back to your attention. I made these hoops for women who want something real on their ears without having to think about it, each one formed by hand from a single length of copper wire, shaped into a circle, then faceted with small, careful strikes until the surface reflects light the way only hammered copper can.
Copper has been worn close to the skin for thousands of years, and the women who return to me often say the same thing. It simply feels right in a way they can’t quite put into words.
These are among the final earrings I’ll make before I close my workshop for good. I hope they find the ears that will wear them every day.
